Ghost Hunt(2006)

Ghost Hunt is a supernatural anime series following Mai Taniyama, a high school student who loves sharing ghost stories with friends. Her casual fascination with the paranormal shifts when she encounters Kazuya Shibuya, a 17-year-old paranormal investigator from the Shibuya Psychic Research Center. After Mai stumbles into danger during an investigation at a supposedly haunted school, Kazuya's assistant is badly injured saving her. Kazuya demands Mai take the assistant's place, forcing her into a world of genuine hauntings and unexplained phenomena far darker than any campfire tale. As Mai joins the team investigating paranormal cases, she discovers that real ghosts are far more terrifying than folklore.
