The Pierre Berton Show(1962)
The Pierre Berton Show is a Canadian talk series that aired from 1962 to 1973, featuring the broadcaster's in-depth interviews with major cultural and political figures. Berton's guests ranged from Malcolm X in 1965 to comedian Lenny Bruce in 1966, and most notably, Bruce Lee in 1971—the only known filmed interview with the martial arts icon. The show launched on CTV as a late-night competitor to CBC's news programming, then moved to CHCH Hamilton after scheduling conflicts forced a shift in the network's lineup. Syndicated by Screen Gems, the series became known for Berton's thoughtful, probing style and his ability to draw candid conversations from high-profile guests across entertainment, politics, and the arts.
