Kemonozume(2006)

Kemonozume is an anime series about a hidden war between humans and shape-shifting creatures called Shokujinki that have existed in secret for centuries. The Kifuuken dojo trains warriors to hunt and kill these beasts by severing their limbs, standing as humanity's only defense. Toshihiko Momota, son of the dojo's leader, falls for Yuka Kamitsuki without knowing she is a Shokujinki—the very enemy he's sworn to destroy. As their forbidden relationship deepens, tension erupts within the dojo itself: Toshihiko's brother Kazuma challenges tradition and pushes the order toward modernization. Dark secrets from the past surface as loyalties fracture and survival becomes uncertain. The series blends romance with visceral action and philosophical conflict, exploring what happens when duty and desire collide.
