Be Home for Dinner(2011)

Be Home for Dinner is a Hong Kong series that follows Chung Kwok-Chu, a prominent food critic and newspaper editor, whose world shifts when his son Si-Hon returns from Canada determined to become a chef. Kwok-Chu's disapproval clashes with his son's ambition, especially when renowned chef Shum Bui-yee unexpectedly takes Si-Hon under her wing as an assistant. As the family navigates this generational divide, Kwok-Chu finds himself mediating tensions among extended family members while grappling with his own expectations. The series balances culinary passion with domestic conflict, exploring how tradition and progress collide within a single household.
