La Voz(2011)

La Voz México is a reality singing competition based on the international format created by John de Mol. The show premiered in September 2011 on Televisa, making Mexico the first Spanish-speaking country to adapt the format. Contestants compete across blind auditions and live performances, guided by celebrity judges who coach competing teams toward the finale. The series became a ratings phenomenon, with its debut episode drawing 28.2 points and surpassing previous Spanish-language competition shows. Season two aired in 2012 but was marked by tragedy when judge Jenni Rivera died in a plane crash in December of that year. The show dedicated an entire episode as a tribute to the beloved singer, cementing La Voz México's place in the country's television landscape.
