Yeditepe Istanbul(2001)

When Olcay's husband takes his own life and leaves behind crushing debt, she and her teenage daughter Duru are forced to abandon their former life and move into a cramped Istanbul slum. Struggling to survive without qualifications or work experience, Olcay scrapes by taking whatever jobs she can find while relying on her last remaining friend for support. The gritty neighborhood that once seemed foreign gradually becomes home as their hardworking neighbors—people from a world entirely unlike Olcay's past—warm to the mother-and-daughter pair. Unexpected connections form, and some residents find themselves drawn to them in ways that transform both their lives.
