About a Boy is a comedy-drama series following Will Freeman, a perpetually single man-child coasting on royalties from a hit song. His carefree existence unravels when Fiona, an earnest single mother, and her precocious 11-year-old son Marcus move next door. Marcus becomes a fixture in Will's life, initially unwelcome but increasingly tolerated—especially after Will realizes that women find single fathers attractive. The two strike a bargain: Marcus will pose as Will's son to help his romantic prospects, while gaining access to Will's comfortable home. What begins as a cynical arrangement gradually transforms into genuine friendship. As Will discovers unexpected fulfillment in mentoring Marcus, both characters learn valuable lessons about connection, responsibility and growing up—whether you're eleven or stuck in adolescence.
