The First Family is a sitcom that premiered in first-run syndication on September 22, 2012. Created by Byron Allen and produced through Entertainment Studios, the series marked the return of original comedy programming to syndication after a twelve-year gap since Malibu, CA ended in 2000. The show follows the domestic adventures and comedic mishaps of its titular family as they navigate everyday life. With a traditional sitcom format and laugh-track humor, The First Family aimed to revive the syndication model that had largely disappeared from American television.
