Laura Hollis arrives at Silas University and is assigned a new roommate after her first roommate vanishes without explanation. That roommate is Carmilla Karnstein, a mysterious and unsettling presence who will upend everything Laura thought she knew. Carmilla is a modern adaptation of the classic Gothic vampire novella by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, reimagined as a scripted web series with a contemporary edge. The show explores the dangerous allure of a female vampire and the vulnerability of a young woman drawn into her orbit. What begins as an ordinary college experience becomes something far darker and more complicated as Laura discovers the truth about her roommate and the supernatural forces at work on campus.
