Trepalium is a dystopian series set in a future where economic collapse has left 80% of the population unemployed. A massive wall divides society: the Actives—the employed elite—live in the prosperous city center, while the Jobless are confined to the impoverished Zone on the outskirts. The show explores the tension between these two worlds and the human cost of extreme inequality. As characters navigate survival, ambition, and resistance across the divide, Trepalium examines what happens when work becomes the sole measure of worth and citizenship itself depends on employment status. Dark and thought-provoking, the series blends science fiction with social commentary, asking urgent questions about labor, dignity, and social fracture in a world pushed to its breaking point.
