Farmed and Dangerous is a four-part comedy series created by Chipotle that satirizes industrial agriculture and corporate food production. The story follows a fictional megacorporation called Animoil that feeds cattle petropellets—fuel pellets made directly from petroleum—as a darkly comic exaggeration of how conventional farming relies heavily on fossil fuels. The series critiques the hidden environmental costs of Big Ag, from nitrogen fertilizer derived through fracking to the petroleum-intensive crops that dominate modern food systems. Blending absurdist humor with pointed social commentary, Farmed and Dangerous exposes the absurdity of industrial farming practices while questioning where our food really comes from and what it costs the planet.
