The Fifth Woman(2002)

The Fifth Woman is a Swedish crime drama set in autumn 1994. When an elderly man is discovered dead in a gillnet trap, impaled on sharpened bamboo poles, detective Kurt Wallander and his team begin investigating. Days later, a florist vanishes and is found murdered in the forest. As the bodies accumulate, Wallander realizes the killings are connected—a calculated campaign of revenge. The detective must uncover the motive linking the victims before the killer strikes again. Based on Henning Mankell's novel, the series captures the bleakness of small-town Sweden and the psychological toll of violent crime on those tasked with solving it.
