Ash is a Soviet drama spanning a decade of deception and redemption. In 1938 Russia, Red Army commander Igor Petrov and a safecracker named Ash exchange identities in a moment of desperation, forcing both men to reinvent themselves entirely. Over the next ten years, they live in constant fear of exposure, each committing acts of heroism and crime under the other's name. The thief becomes celebrated while the commander descends into violence and criminality. Their only shared bond is a tragic love for the same woman. As death and destruction follow their parallel paths, fate eventually reunites them—two strong, courageous men facing the consequences of their choices and fighting for a love that demands retribution.
