Die Puppenspieler is a historical drama series following Richard, a young convent student whose mother is burned at the stake by the ruthless inquisitor Heinrich Institoris. Driven by grief and rage, Richard escapes and falls under the mentorship of Jakob Fugger, a shrewd merchant who teaches him that true power lies not in blind revenge but in manipulation.
