The Shell Game(1980)

The Shell Game is a 1930s gambling drama set in Guangdong during the height of the casino boom. Law Sei Hoi, known as the "Divine Eyes of the South" for his uncanny ability to read opponents, dominates the gambling scene and owns multiple Guangzhou casinos. When orphan Tam Sing seeks him out as a mentor, a complex web of relationships forms—romance blooms between Law Sei Hoi and Tam Sing's sister, a celebrated Cantonese opera singer.
