Named after Felix Salten's classic novel, the award recognizes international personalities whose vision and creativity have inspired the German public. The iconic statuette depicts the fawn from Bambi: A Life in the Woods. Originally crafted from porcelain, the trophies have been cast in gold since 1958, produced by the renowned art casting workshop of Ernst Strassacker in Süßen.
