The Territory(2019)

The Territory is a Russian crime comedy series following Victor Gromov, a retired Moscow underworld figure known as "the Butcher," who is forced out of hiding when his former associates demand he safeguard their mafia funds in an offshore account. Months later, a falling billboard leaves him with amnesia—he can't remember the password. Desperate to escape his vengeful former cronies, Victor hides in a freight train boxcar and wakes thousands of kilometers away in Polyarny, a remote northern town that proves far harder to leave than he anticipated. Trapped between his past and an uncertain future, Victor must navigate small-town life while evading the criminals hunting him down. The series blends dark humor with crime drama as the legendary criminal discovers that survival in the frozen north requires more cunning than his old life ever demanded.
