Like Family(2003)

Like Family is a comedy-drama series about Tanya and Ed, a middle-class African-American couple, who welcome an old friend into their home. Maddie, a single parent, hopes her 16-year-old son Keith will thrive in a traditional family setting and benefit from Ed's mentorship. As the two families navigate life under one roof, they quickly discover that their differences run far deeper than surface-level assumptions. The show explores themes of family, identity, and belonging as these households learn to coexist, challenge each other's perspectives, and ultimately find common ground despite their contrasting backgrounds and values.
