Android Kikaider is a live-action series following Jiro, a humanoid robot built by genius professor Dr. Komyoji with a unique conscience circuit that lets him experience genuine emotions and moral judgment. When the villainous Dr. Gil seeks to capture Jiro and force him into service for a world domination scheme, the robot must defend two children, Mitsuko and Masaru, from constant danger. The show explores what it means to be human through Jiro's struggle between his artificial nature and his newfound capacity for compassion. Caught between his creator's ideals and an enemy determined to weaponize him, Jiro becomes an unlikely protector fighting to preserve the innocent lives in his care.
