Baraki is a French series centered on the Berthet family, a tight-knit Romani clan led by the formidable Larissa. When Yvan, a foundling she raised as her own son, learns he'll become a father, he resolves to leave his chaotic past behind and build a conventional life. His ambitions collide with the schemes of a bipolar drug dealer, a corrupt local cop, a volatile ex-lover, and Larissa's manipulative new husband. Though his family rallies to help him navigate these obstacles, being a Berthet means nothing comes easy. The series balances dark comedy with genuine warmth as Yvan struggles between his desire for stability and the pull of his unconventional roots.
