Battlestars(1981)

Battlestars is an American game show that aired on NBC during the early 1980s across two separate runs. The original series premiered on October 26, 1981 and concluded on April 23, 1982. A revamped version titled The New Battlestars followed in 1983, running for 13 weeks from April 4 to July 1. Hosted by Alex Trebek with announcers Rod Roddy and Charlie Tuna, the show was produced by Merrill Heatter Productions and marked Heatter's first production without longtime collaborator Bob Quigley. The game combined celebrity contestants with a star-themed format that defined early-80s game show entertainment.
