Bohéma(2017)

Bohéma is a documentary series exploring the dark history of Barrandov Studios, Prague's legendary film factory during the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia. Once Europe's most advanced studio complex, Barrandov became a propaganda machine that produced escapist Czech comedies and romances while its stars navigated dangerous relationships with German authorities. After liberation, many of those celebrated actors faced collaboration accusations, their wartime fame overshadowed by the moral compromises required to survive under occupation. The series examines how cinema functioned as both cultural refuge and tool of control, revealing the complex choices artists made when art and politics collided in a nation under siege.
