Collin(1981)

Collin is a German drama set in late 1970s East Berlin. At a clinic reserved for the Communist regime's elite, two terminally ill men with heart disease form an unlikely bond. One is a high-ranking official; the other comes from a different world entirely. As their conditions worsen, their friendship becomes a refuge from the surveillance and control that defines their authoritarian state. The series explores how human connection transcends ideology and class, even when time is running out. Against the backdrop of a divided Germany, these two men discover what truly matters in their final days.
