Ďáblova lest is a Czech crime thriller that follows Sumara, a criminal investigation department head, as she uncovers a ritualistic murder. A young archaeology student is found dead, her body covered in snake blood and marked with the number 666. The girl had been excavating the Podlažice monastery when she died, her corpse arranged with a snake coiled around an egg. Sumara enlists Dr. Runa, an occult expert, to help decode the cryptic symbols and satanic ritual. Together they investigate a dangerous cult and the mysterious creation of the Devil's Bible, uncovering dark secrets hidden within the monastery's history. The series blends police procedural with supernatural horror as the investigation deepens into occult mysteries and ancient evil.
