Dandan(2008)

Dandan follows twin sisters Tajima Megumi and Ichijo Nozomi, separated at birth when their parents divorced. Years later, the sisters reunite and discover they've each carved distinct paths in Japan's entertainment world. Megumi, based in Matsue, Shimane, performs as a singer in the band Shijimijiru, while Nozomi has become a maiko—an apprentice geisha—in Kyoto. The series explores their reconnection as they navigate their separate lives rooted in traditional and contemporary music, uncovering the bonds that tie them together despite their divergent journeys.
