Dear Students!(2007)

Dear Students! is a Japanese manga series created by Yoko Shoji that ran in Shōjo Friend from 1977 to 1984. The work won the second Kodansha Manga Award in the shōjo category in 1978, establishing itself as a significant entry in shoujo comics of that era. The series spawned a sequel, Seito Shokun! Kyoshi-hen, which debuted in 2004. Dear Students! has been adapted across multiple formats: an original video animation directed by Mitsuo Kusakabe aired on Fuji TV in 1986, and a live-action television drama followed on TV Asahi in 2007, running for ten episodes from April to June. The manga's enduring appeal across decades of adaptation reflects its resonance with Japanese audiences and its place in the history of shoujo storytelling.
