Folk Sergeant(1993)

Folk Sergeant is a Hong Kong drama series following Tang Titkin, a respected village police officer with over a decade of service in Wai Tau. When new commander Mak Chi-Fan arrives at the station, her prejudiced view of the villagers clashes immediately with Titkin's unconventional, community-focused approach. Chi-Fan sees him as insubordinate; Titkin views her as rigid and disconnected from local realities. Their conflict deepens when Titkin's long-standing friendship with wealthy businessman Lei Gwan—who has built his fortune through criminal enterprises—becomes a point of contention. As organized crime circles Lei Gwan, the tension between Titkin and Chi-Fan intensifies, forcing both to navigate loyalty, duty, and the murky line between protecting the community and upholding the law.
