Foreign Objects(2001)

Foreign Objects is a Canadian dramatic anthology series that aired on CBC Television in 2001. Created and written by Ken Finkleman, the show follows documentary producer George Findlay—a character Finkleman reprised from his earlier series The Newsroom—as he encounters different people and situations across each episode. While Findlay provides continuity, every installment tells a self-contained story exploring themes of human frailty and obsession through fresh characters and scenarios. The ensemble cast includes Colm Feore, Karen Hines, Tom McCamus, Arsinée Khanjian, and Rebecca Jenkins. Though short-lived, Foreign Objects showcased Finkleman's sharp dramatic sensibility before he moved on to the CBC television movie Escape from the Newsroom.
