Gladiators(2008)

Gladiators is an Australian television series that aired on Seven Network in 2008, reviving the competition format that had captivated audiences years earlier. Hosted by Tom Williams and Zoe Naylor, the show pitted everyday challengers against elite gladiators in a series of grueling physical contests at The Dome in Sydney. Contestants competed for A$50,000 and a new Subaru Forester, pushing themselves through events designed by military fitness expert Chief Brabon. NRL referee Bill Harrigan and John Forsythe—who had officiated the original series—oversaw fair play, while the Sydney Altitude Cheerleaders energized the crowd throughout each episode. The revival premiered on 30 March 2008, drawing on the format's proven success internationally. Despite strong initial interest, Seven Network made no official announcement regarding the show's future beyond its initial run.
