Glitter(1984)

Glitter is an American drama series that aired on ABC during the 1984–1985 season. Produced by Aaron Spelling, the show follows the behind-the-scenes world of a prestigious entertainment magazine called Glitter, blending journalism, business intrigue, and the glamorous lives of the rich and famous. David Birney, Morgan Brittany, and Arthur Hill lead the cast, with each episode featuring high-profile guest appearances from celebrities like Ginger Rogers and Cyd Charisse. Though structured similarly to Spelling's hits The Love Boat and Hotel, Glitter struggled to find an audience. After three episodes in September 1984, the series was pulled from the schedule, returning briefly in December before being shelved again. The remaining episodes aired in late-night slots a year later. Despite poor ratings in America, the show found international distribution, screening on BBC1 in the UK during summer 1985.
