God Mazinger(1984)

God Mazinger is a 1984 anime series created by manga artist Go Nagai that aired for 23 episodes on Nippon Television. Young sports enthusiast Yamato Hino hears mysterious voices during a thunderstorm and is transported to the parallel world of Kingdom Mu, a realm under siege by the evil Dorado and his Dinosaur Empire forces.
