Hungry Ghosts is a supernatural drama series set in Melbourne's Vietnamese-Australian community. When a tomb is accidentally opened on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Festival, a vengeful spirit escapes, unleashing the dead across the city. As these restless ghosts wreak havoc—reclaiming lost loves and exacting revenge—young woman May Le finds herself thrust into an unexpected role. Haunted by her family's past and the community's lingering war trauma, May must reconnect with her heritage and embrace her destiny to restore balance between the living and the dead.
