Le Plateau(2002)

Le Plateau is a Quebec series following Pierre Chamberland, a journalist living in Montreal's vibrant Plateau Mont-Royal neighbourhood. Pierre shares his loft with his brother François, a struggling actor convinced of his own brilliance, and Robert Gascon, a perpetually directionless friend with a murky past. Anaïs Fontaine, a talented graphic designer and Pierre's close friend, rounds out their circle, maintaining her own apartment while remaining deeply embedded in the group's daily life. Though Pierre and Anaïs share an obvious connection, they navigate their relationship cautiously. The ensemble gathers regularly at a neighbourhood pub run by the welcoming Béatrice and Jean-Paul, where their lives intersect across work, ambition, friendship and the messy realities of urban adulthood in contemporary Montreal.
