Making Waves(2004)

Making Waves is a British naval drama following HMS Suffolk as it prepares for crucial Flag Officer Sea Training. When an accident forces out the executive officer and prompts the captain's resignation, newly arrived Commander Martin Brooke takes the helm with just four weeks to transform the troubled vessel and its crew into fighting shape for final assessment. The series explores the pressures of naval command and the challenges of restoring discipline and cohesion aboard a struggling warship. Despite spending years in development, Making Waves premiered on BBC in July 2004 but struggled to find an audience, lasting only three broadcast episodes before cancellation. All six completed episodes were later released on DVD, offering viewers the full story of Brooke's demanding mission to salvage the ship's reputation.
