Mixels(2014)

Mixels is an animated series following mischievous creatures who live in tribes of three. These colorful beings can combine with one another—either within their own tribe or across tribes—to gain new abilities, using magical squares called cubits to merge. The Mixels face constant threats from the Nixels, a rival faction who view themselves as superior and actively work to destroy Mixel combinations and steal their cubits. Led by the ruthless Major Nixel, who bullies his own underlings, the Nixels pose an escalating danger. The series centers on the Mixels' efforts to protect their cubits, maintain their friendships, and defend themselves against Nixel attacks while discovering the creative possibilities of their combining powers.
