Monteverde(2025)

Monteverde is a Spanish series about Carolina, a woman fleeing her husband after he frames her for fraud. Desperate for refuge, she seeks out her estranged twin sister Celeste, a nun, and the two agree to swap lives. Carolina assumes Celeste's identity and is sent to the remote town of Monteverde, a male-only settlement ruled by the bitter Óscar León, who refuses to employ women after his own wife abandoned him. When Father Gabriel and Sister Celeste recruit a group of women to relocate to Monteverde, the town's rigid dynamics begin to shift. As Carolina navigates her new identity and the tension between the townspeople, she must confront her past while helping transform a community built on resentment into one capable of change.
