Przyjaciele(1981)

Przyjaciele is a Polish historical series set between 1945 and 1956, following three young men from different social backgrounds as they navigate the turbulent early years of post-war Poland. Kazimierz, an intellectual; Piotr, a worker; and Daniel, a peasant, are drawn into the Polish Youth Union and become instrumental in building the new communist state. Despite their shared idealism, the friends encounter mounting obstacles: societal resistance, party duplicity, and the zealotry of their own comrades. As the series unfolds across multiple seasons, their youthful conviction gradually gives way to disillusionment, exposing the human cost of political transformation. Przyjaciele captures the tension between personal ambition and collective ideology during Poland's most formative decade.
