Raid(2000)

Raid is a Finnish crime series based on detective stories by Harri Nykänen. When a police officer investigating white-collar crime is shot dead in a TV studio, a second officer takes his own life, followed by the suicide of a young executive at a major electronics firm. Her grieving father suspects murder and hires Raid, her former boyfriend, to investigate. As police pursue the first killer—a trail that leads directly to Raid—both sides discover the real culprit lies elsewhere. The investigation forces an unlikely alliance between law enforcement and Raid himself, blurring the line between justice and vengeance. The series explores how even principled people may resort to questionable methods to uncover the truth. This 12-part drama won Finland's best television programme award in 2000.
