Scully(1984)

Scully is a British drama-comedy series set in Liverpool that originally aired on Channel Four in 1984. Written by playwright Alan Bleasdale, the seven-episode run features actual Liverpool FC players from that era. The story follows Francis Scully, a teenage boy obsessed with earning a trial for his beloved Liverpool Football Club. His teachers strike a bargain: appear in the school pantomime and they'll arrange the trial he craves. As Francis navigates school life with his troublemaking friends, he experiences surreal waking visions—glimpses of famous players like Kenny Dalglish and the school caretaker transformed into a vampire.
