Spiral Zone(1987)

Spiral Zone is a 1987 science-fiction animated series that follows an international military unit fighting to reclaim Earth from a scientist who has seized control of vast territories. The show stands apart from typical 80s cartoons for its darker, more serious tone and storytelling. Produced by Atlantic-Kushner-Locke and based on a Bandai toy line, Spiral Zone ran for a single season of 65 episodes before cancellation. Tonka licensed the property and developed its own toy line alongside the series, though both were short-lived. Despite its cult following among fans, the show has never received an official DVD release from Hasbro, which acquired Tonka's copyrights in the 1990s, leaving Spiral Zone largely unavailable through official channels.
