The Alaskans is a 1959–1960 Western series set in Skagway, Alaska during the Klondike Gold Rush of the late 1890s. Roger Moore stars as Silky Harris and Jeff York as Reno McKee, two con artists working the port town to fleece fortune seekers headed for the Yukon. Their schemes hit complications when Rocky Shaw, a glamorous singer with expensive tastes, enters the picture. The show marked Moore's first regular role on American television, launching a career that would define his later decades in Hollywood.
