Black Box BRD(2001)
Black Box BRD is a German film examining the Federal Republic during the 1970s and 1980s, when the nation fractured under political extremism and state power. The Red Army Faction's violent insurgency polarized society, creating unbridgeable divides. The film traces two parallel lives shaped by this turbulent era: Wolfgang Grams, a radical who took up arms in pursuit of ideological purity, and Alfred Herrhausen, a powerful industrialist whose ascent ended in assassination. Their contrasting paths reveal how ordinary citizens became entangled in Germany's most dangerous ideological conflict, where moral conviction and pragmatic ambition collided with lethal consequences. Black Box BRD reconstructs this fractured moment in German history through the lens of two men whose fates were sealed by forces larger than themselves.
