The Story of a Discharged Prisoner(1967)

The Story of a Discharged Prisoner is a crime drama following Lee Jwo Horng, a man rebuilding his life after serving 15 years in prison. Upon release, he discovers his former fiancée Betty has become the mistress of triad boss One-Eye Jack. Determined to prove himself and shield his younger brother Chih Shen from shame, Lee hides his freedom and stays with an old friend. When Jack pressures him to return to criminal work, Lee refuses, committed to staying clean. Frustrated by Lee's resistance, Jack sets his sights on Chih Shen instead, drawing the younger brother into the underworld. As Lee fights to escape his past, he must confront the criminal forces threatening to corrupt his family and derail his second chance at redemption.
