Grave Decisions(2006)

Grave Decisions is a dark comedy set in rural Bavaria that follows 11-year-old Sebastian, who believes he murdered his mother at birth and is destined for purgatory. Convinced he can shorten his sentence through good deeds, Sebastian schemes to find a wife for his widowed father Lorenz. When Lorenz falls for Sebastian's schoolteacher Veronika, the plan seems to work—until they discover she's already married. The film balances Sebastian's twisted logic and morbid guilt with the messy realities of adult desire, creating a blackly comic portrait of a boy caught between childhood innocence and moral obsession. What unfolds is a collision between Sebastian's certainty and the complicated, often ridiculous world of grown-up relationships.
