Ewig rauschen die Gelder is a German comedy about a man caught in an escalating fraud. Erik Pütz has hidden his unemployment from his wife Linda for two years, surviving on welfare payments meant for a lodger. When the checks keep coming, Erik devises an audacious scheme: he invents 35 fictitious tenants and collects their benefits alongside his real lodger Harald Klein. The deception spirals until a welfare inspector named Jürgens arrives unannounced at the door, threatening to expose the entire operation. What began as a desperate cover-up becomes a darkly comic battle of wits as Erik scrambles to maintain his elaborate lie before the truth unravels completely.
