Smoke Signals is a comedy-drama following Thomas, a storytelling nerd on his Native American reservation, and Victor, whose father Arnold abandoned the family a decade earlier. When Arnold dies, Thomas offers to fund Victor's journey to retrieve his remains—a trip that forces the two unlikely friends to confront their shared past. Set against the backdrop of reservation life, the film explores themes of identity, loss, and redemption through humor and heart. Thomas and Victor's road trip becomes a reckoning with the fire that killed Thomas's parents in 1976 and the absence that has defined Victor's life, ultimately revealing unexpected truths about family and belonging.
