Ready for the Grave(1990)

Ready for the Grave is a film about a middle-aged sociologist who returns to high school undercover to study adolescent attitudes. Vita Jamie, a poorly paid researcher and exhausted father of two, takes a seat among students to gather data for his institute. The experience unexpectedly awakens forgotten feelings of youth and possibility within him. As he reconnects with the carefree energy of his subjects, Vita confronts the gap between the promises of his younger self and the compromises of adult life. The film explores how nostalgia can both illuminate and complicate our understanding of who we've become.
