A Three-Day Weekend(1988)

A Three-Day Weekend is a tragicomic film featuring characters from the hit series De Kollega's. When Armistice Day falls on a Tuesday, Dutch civil servants expect an extra Monday off—but a ministerial memo fails to reach the right desk. Everyone shows up for work anyway. Chaos erupts when construction work and careless mistakes trap the entire office on one floor, blocking both the lift and stairwell. Cut off from the outside world and without a working phone, the colleagues are forced into an extended conversation that gradually unearths uncomfortable truths. As tensions rise and old secrets surface, the group discovers they don't know each other nearly as well as they thought.
