No Telling(1991)
Or, the Frankenstein complex.
No Telling is a psychological drama about a marriage tested by isolation and obsession. Geoffrey and Lillian relocate to the countryside so Geoffrey can focus on his writing, but as he retreats into a shed behind their home, the boundary between dedication and madness blurs. What begins as a promising fresh start deteriorates into something darker as Geoffrey's grip on reality loosens. Lillian watches helplessly as her husband's work consumes him entirely, transforming their rural refuge into a prison of psychological unraveling. The film explores how ambition and solitude can corrode even the strongest bonds, turning a quiet country setting into a claustrophobic nightmare.
