A Hero's Death(2001)

A Hero's Death is a historical drama about the most daring escape in Berlin Wall history. On a single night in October 1964, fifty-seven East Berliners attempt to flee through a tunnel to West Berlin. As the final refugees emerge, East German border guards spot them and open fire. Against the odds, all the escapees and their agents survive unharmed—but the cost is steep. A young border guard, twenty-one-year-old Egon Schultz, is killed in the chaos.
